Is it Time for the Senedd to be Abolished?

Senedd, it is officially known as the Welsh Parliament in English.

The Senedd is officially known as the Welsh Parliament in English and Senedd Cymru in Welsh. The Welsh Parliament is a devolved, unicameral legislature of Wales. A democratically elected body, it makes laws for Wales, agrees on certain taxes, and, scrutinises the Welsh Government.

UK Independence Party (UKIP), Former UKIP, Tory, and many Brexit campaigners all support the idea of the Senedd being abolished entirely. The Abolish the Welsh Assembly Party also obviously wants the Welsh Parliament to be scrapped, and they have had a few seats in the Senedd like UKIP. I think it would also be prudent to highlight the fact that many traditional Brexit-voting, British Unionist communities will also be in favour of a single, British Parliament and the Senedd being abolished. But - the mainstream media and political elite will not waste their precious time highlighting that fact.

One-quarter of Welsh adults would vote to abolish the Senedd/Welsh Parliament, 19-22 February 2021

That means more Welsh adults would vote to abolish the Welsh Parliament (26%) than see Wales independent (22%) - YouGov.  YouGov / Welsh Barometer Survey Results

The Welsh Parliament has become a vehicle for Labour to use to turn Wales into their idea of a "Nation of Sanctuary", "Ultra-Green Republic" or even a "Socialist Nightmare". The policies enacted by Labour in Wales have led to widespread fuel poverty, division and a cost of living that is spiralling out of control. The Senedd has become bloated, bureaucratic and devoid of any meaningful opposition. There is no real and authentic Unionist and/or pro-Brexit voice in that Parliament.
